Comfort of Home Healthcare is Excited to Announce...
Imagine yourself in a wheelchair, trying to live independently as possible, yet you cannot use your own restroom because the doorway is too small, or perhaps you have not been able to wash your own clothes for weeks because you no longer can carry a load up and down stairs. Unless you personally have a disability or limited mobility it is very easy to take even the simplest of living spaces for granted.
Most people don’t give a thought to accessible doorways, roll in showers, even the placement of light switches and the type of door knobs present. All of which can be a huge obstacle to overcome for a person with a disability trying to live as independently as possible. If you are on Social Security with an extremely fixed income, there is no way a person could afford to make these accommodations on their own.
It is not a local issue, online you can find many articles on the subject.

Finding housing that is both accessible and affordable is a challenge to both seniors and people with disabilities, especially in smaller cities where there are fewer resources.
Comfort of Home Healthcare was founded with the premise of being a in-home care provider for people with disabilities and seniors that we would want for our own family members.
Seeing a need out in our own communities is what started the company nearly 7 years ago and it is with the same passion and determination that we are going to tackle the issue of quality accessible housing for people with disabilities.
Comfort of Home Healthcare is excited to announce that we are closing on two homes we have had built from the ground up. Both homes will be very accessible to people with wheelchairs with 42” doorways, open living spaces and roll in showers.
Check back with us as we get closer to move-in dates. We will post the progress. The best is yet to come!
